I completed studio 1, my introductory studio, in the fall of 2013. We had several projects in this intro studio in which we learned the fundamentals of architectural drafting, rendering, and model making. We started the studio by creating furniture out of only cardboard. We were instructed to  The next project was to design a sushi bar. We started the design process by scanning peices of sushi and drafting them. From there, we extruded models from those drawings which eventually became the final designs of our sushi bars. Our third project was based on the court case Loving v VA in which an interracial couple was arrested simply for being together. We began with color studies and a site study. For this project I designed a sculptural seating area for couples who need to get away from the world. This project was based in a small park located in Harrisonburg, VA and was focused on creating conventional plan, elevation, and section drawings, as well as a full scale detail model.
