Fall 2015 | William Tate
The GRACE/GRAND CANAL project is a half semester project investigating the possibility of a Venice-inspired canal running along grace street. Site analysis was performed over the course of a week, several times a day, to determine the optimum places for the required programmatic elements, including [but not limited to] a food truck, a step well, and a spray paint booth. From a series of rhythm studies, geometries were generated to form the walls and sides of the canal. Section and elevation drawings yielded new explorations into a “mist drawing".
